Terms of Service

Welcome to LOCAL ("LOCAL", "Platform", "we", "us"). LOCAL is a technology platform (an "intermediary" under the Information Technology Act, 2000) that enables customers ("Users") to discover, communicate with and book independent third‑party businesses and service providers ("Providers"). LOCAL is not the seller, manufacturer, service provider, employer or agent of any Provider.

By accessing or using LOCAL you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

1. Nature of the Platform

• LOCAL only provides a venue to connect Users and Providers. The actual product, service, booking, rental or transaction is offered and fulfilled solely by the Provider.
• We do not own, control, inspect, warrant or guarantee any listing, Provider, product, price, quality, timeline or outcome.
• Any contract for a product/service is formed directly between the User and the Provider. LOCAL is not a party to it.

2. Eligibility & accounts

• You must be 18+ and able to form a binding contract under Indian law.
• You are responsible for your account, your login (OTP/credentials) and all activity under it.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Platform, post unlawful, misleading, infringing or harmful content, scrape data, attempt unauthorised access, or use the Platform to violate any law.

4. Content

Users and Providers are solely responsible for content they submit. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law, without notice.

5. Payments

• Any platform fee charged by LOCAL is described in the Platform Fee Policy.
• Payments for a Provider's product/service are governed by the Provider's own terms. LOCAL does not hold or guarantee such amounts unless expressly stated.

6. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, LOCAL disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non‑infringement.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LOCAL and its officers, employees and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your dealings with a Provider. LOCAL's aggregate liability, if any, shall not exceed the platform fee (if any) actually paid by you to LOCAL in the preceding three (3) months.

8. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold LOCAL harmless from any claim arising out of your use of the Platform, your content, or your transaction with any Provider.

9. Governing law & jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to the Grievance Redressal Policy, courts at Gopalganj, Bihar, India (the Platform operator's location) shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
